We delivered 2 online webinars for the Local Enterprise Office in Kerry and we are sharing the information and videos here. There is some very practical advice from a range of experts.
First step - make sure you contact your Local Enterprise Office – they are there to help. https://www.localenterprise.ie/ They can assign you free mentor support in the first instance and the mentor can help you assess where you are and what supports are available to you.
Useful page here with information for business from Kerry County Council https://www.kerrycoco.ie/covid-19-information-for-business/
From your Local Enterprise Office - Trading Online Vouchers – the funding available for these has increased to 90%. That means you’ll only have to pay 10% of the costs. If you’ve got time and you’ve always harboured ideas for an online offering for your business, or you’ve wanted to add an online payments option now is a good time to look into it. https://www.localenterprise.ie/
Training supports from Skillnet – if there is training that your business needs, that can be delivered remotely, eg. using Zoom or equivalent, Skillnets are able to cover a percentage of the training costs. If you’re already a member of a Skillnet make contact with them first.
Free online training from the ETB www.ecollege.ie – these courses are usually only free to Job Seekers but they are free to everyone at the moment.
Covid 19 Business Loans (in conjunction with Microfinance Ireland). Up to 50,000 loan is available. It’s probably the easiest of all the loans to get and apply for. The Local Enterprise Office provides a mentor to help with the application process. The interest has been reduced to 4.5%. The term is for 3 years and there is no need to pay anything for the first 6 months and there’s no penalty for early repayment. https://www.localenterprise.ie/Portal/response/Other-LEO-Supports/LEO-Response-Supports-pdf.pdf
